The Litchfield Polocrosse Club was founded in 1986 by Pat and Erica Davidge. The first team consisted of Rod Bremner, Wayne Saunders, Patrick, Richard, Brian and Shane Davidge.
The Litchfield name was chosen because the founding members all came from the Litchfield Shire. Since then however, Litchfield has attracted players from across Australia and around the world, with players from NSW, Victoria, SA, England and Zimbabwe coming to the Territory to play for the Litchfield club. The Litchfield club have proven to be very competitive over the years, with our teams taking out numerous NT Polocrosse Championship trophies and our members being selected to join state representative teams in Open, Junior and Masters level at national competitions.
The Litchfield team colours are a vibrant orange with black and white trim. You can't miss us! We encourage juniors and those new to the game to 'come and try' polocrosse. Our training days are held at either Robbie Robbins Reserve or Fred's Pass on Thursday afternoons.
To encourage families and junior members, this year we have set the club membership fee at a very low $20.00 for single or family membership. You can find out more info about polocrosse and the Litchfield Polocrosse Club by contacting any of our club executive. Or, just come to a local carnival and look for an orange shirt...we will be happy to help you out.
