Welcome...

The first demonstration of the International Sport of Polocrosse was given at Ingleburn Sport Ground near Sydney in 1939. By 1946 polocrosse had spread into then NSW country areas, 1949 into Queensland and into Victoria around Hexham and Ballarat. (PAA,2008)

It was at a meeting on the 27th of October in 1974 at a meeting of interested persons at the Marrara Small Lounge that the Darwin and Regional Polocrosse Association was formed.

Some of those present were Peter Hassall, John Clayfield, Lee Grover and Kevin Flockhardt. The first committee voted in that night was:

President/Chairman: Les Edwards

Secretary: Sharon Clayfield

Treasurer: John Clayfield

Publicity Officer: Bob Hannon

Polocrosse in the NT now involves players from 3-70+, sub-juniors to veterans, C grade beginners to fast, action packed A grade and is played from May until August with our Championships at the end of August.

Our fields at Fred's Pass are considered one of the top 5 venues in Australia and we will hold the National Polocrosse Championships in 2014.

We encourage all spectators to feel free to drop in to any of our carnivals either at Fred’s Pass or Robbie Robbin’s Reserve. Check our calendar to see when and where our events are held. Don’t be afraid to ask people questions and see what it’s all about.
